Enterprise Search Framework Based on solr and sphinx
Traditional SQL databases lack the ability to search for information in multiple different fields simultaneously in a fast and relevant manner. On the other hand modern enterprise search applications like Microsoft Fast are limited in their querying powers.
We’re closing the gap by offering technology which extends and combines the best of both worlds. We often do so by integrating open source frameworks into commercial products. As an example we are using apache Solr together with sphinx to augment our customer business databases. One huge advantage of our approach is the ability to define so called rank-profiles which improve the search experience drastically.
